The Help

The word the HELP has been in the media since the best seller book and movie has become so popular. All I can say is “What would I do without my HELP?” I have the most fantastic staff that knows how to set up and break down when we transform our showroom into a catering facility to raise money for various charities and organizations.
Our most recent fund raiser for the YMCA of Huntington was a huge success! How could we possibly fit 25 restaurants into our showroom and give each one a presence? Somehow, someway, we did it. Again I could not have done it without my HELP.
A great big THANK YOU goes to my incredible staff that I can always count on to do the correct thing. I love you guys!
Until next time – Happy Cooking!

Where Do I Begin?

I took a small break from blogging due to an unforeseen eye injury. (No pun intended)

The good news is that I am back and happy to report that I SEE great progress being made in our showroom.  The expansion is moving right along and our target date for opening the new expanded showroom is May.

Floor space will be available for so many more kitchen appliance displays for both indoors and outdoors.  We will begin posting photos of our progress on our website and facebook page.

If you are in love with our showroom now, you will fall madly in love with our new one.

In spite of our construction, we continue with our demonstrations, our cooking classes and private parties.

Always a work in progress!

Happy Cooking!

I'm Back!

Happy New Year!

I am finally back in town and in the office. I went out to Denver to celebrate the holidays with my family and wound up getting sick and unable to return until now. There are so many things that we need to catch up with. We will be displaying Wolf/Subzero product at the NARI Trade Show this coming Monday; January 23rd from 2-8pm.  Look for us at the Cradle of Aviation in Garden City, NY- booth F4.

We are having our first Cook Off on Thursday, January 26th at 6pm. Cooking with Mamma is a “live” competition using Mamma Lombardi’s All Natural Sauce. We have 4 finalists who will compete before a panel of judges using their original recipes.  For details check our web site or facebook page. Any proceeds will go to Bethel Hobbs Community Farm which donates to local food banks.

I also wanted to share with you the one day that I was feeling good on my trip; a great place for breakfast or brunch. Lucile’s is located in Denver, Boulder, Longmont and Littleton in Colorado. Mouth watering homemade biscuits and luscious homemade beignets are just a few things on the menu. Just think about baking those biscuits in your ovens and deep frying the beignets in your deep fryers. You can do it too.

Until next time – Happy Cooking!

It's a Wrap!

The holidays are here! It is hard to believe we are wrapping up another year. We are so looking forward to 2012 as we expand our showroom.  More kitchen vignettes for you to see as well as appliances for every budget.

We hope that as you prepare your holiday dinners, you will think about using the convection mode on your ovens or ranges to speed up the cooking process. Use your warming drawers to keep your meals warm and of course those dishwashers will be loaded and unloaded many times.

Not only am I wrapping all my gifts, I am also wrapping up another successful year of events. We hosted many charity functions and I look forward to working with the organizations who will be hosting their events with us. We are employing more chefs for variety as we continue to expand our cooking class schedule.

All of us wish all of you the happiest of holidays and we wish you all good things for 2012. Follow us on facebook to see our progress.

See you in the New Year!
Until then – Happy Cooking!

Our new Gaggenau "Live" kitchen all decked out for the NARI holiday party!

The Transformation

It has been so crazy around our showroom; however we have two new “live” kitchens.

Our Wolf/Subzero kitchen has been renovated and is absolutely gorgeous. Wait until you see our new Gaggenau design center. Totally contemporary! We definitely are a work in progress as we continue to expand. What exciting times for Appliance World!

We hosted NARI’s holiday party here and everyone was in awe at how beautiful our showroom is. We entertained 165 guests complete with entertainment. Tommy Sullivan was rocking the house. Our corporate chefs from Wolf/Subzero, Dacor, Electrolux and Thermador were here doing what they do best - preparing their culinary delights for all to enjoy. Check us out on our facebook page or our website applianceworldny.com.
